Born and raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Layne grew up with the Northwoods in his blood. He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 2023 and has been getting his hands dirty in landscaping since he was just 14 years old, spending every non-winter season since sharpening his craft and learning the trade from the ground up.
He also earned two associate degrees from Nicolet College, in Leadership Essentials and Business Management, pairing real hands-on skill with the know-how to run a business the right way.
In the summer of 2025, Layne turned that lifelong passion into a business of his own: Northwoods Stone & Soil Creation. Reliable, skilled, and genuinely invested in every project, he's on a mission to keep beautiful northern Wisconsin looking its very best, one patio, wall, and landscape at a time.
A true Northwoods native who knows this land and is personally invested in the community he serves.
